NCT Dream breaks the highest 1st week sales record for an album in SM Entertainment’s history
On May 14, NCT Dream managed to break the highest sales record for the debut week of an album in the entire history of their agency and record label, SM Entertainment. The boy group did it by surpassing 868,000 album copies, reaching the company’s highest sales record in the first five days of sales, this is really impressive.
Recall that the previous record was held by EXO’s ‘Don’t Mess Up My Tempo‘, which achieved around 790,000 sales in its debut week. In terms of the highest sales record in the first week among all K-Pop artists, NCT Dream ranks seventh, which is really impressive considering the guys have been inactive for several months.
Fans congratulated the boyband for breaking records on various platforms and congratulated them on surpassing 2 million sales of all their albums on the Hanteo chart. Netizens commented on NCT Dream’s incredible work and congratulated them for surpassing this mark, but that wasn’t all and the boys officially became a million-selling band, something really incredible.
