Moving on to the music video footage, the teaser shows a bit of the song’s rhythm, which seems to be quite addictive and catchy but not like ‘Dynamite‘, something really different.
All the members appear in a black and white image and shake their heads to the side in time with the song. They sing “get it, let it roll” and all the fans couldn’t take it, are you ready to see Jin, Suga, RM, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook in action? Same with us, butter is coming and the social media is ready for it.

To try to describe the sound of the new song, the group compared the sound to something retro like a song of Bruno Mars, something like “Locked Out Of Heaven“, really fun and inspirational. Apparently it will have a good dose of the R&B genre, as the duo Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, famous producers of the 80s responsible for several musical hits of Janet Jackson, Boyz II Men and MariahCarey were mentioned as examples.
“Butter doesn’t have a heavy message. It’s a celebration of pure and arrogant dance-pop in the retro vein of Bruno Mars, layered with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis-style synths and boasts of being ‘butter smooth’ and having a ‘superstar glow’. It’s very energetic and very summery,” said the member RM about the song.
