SEVENTEEN surprises fans with new animated concept trailer
Seventeen surprises fans with the release of a new teaser this May 18 at midnight KST. The k-pop group released an animated concept trailer titled “Power of Love” that shows the instances of love with the subtitles “We all need love. Love reaches everyone, anywhere. Love is the light that illuminates us, the miracle in our lives. Now is the time to love”. The animation ends with the question:
«Are you ready to ‘love’ together with us?«. Pledis Entertainment announced that SEVENTEEN would be making a comeback on June 18 with their eighth mini album “Your Choice” earlier this month. Furthermore, it had stated at the time that the details would be released once finalized. In other band-related news, SEVENTEEN will be performing on the Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) special!
MTV will work with See Us Unite for Change, a campaign that aims to support the AAPI community by amplifying voices and fostering education about Asian American experiences. The event will feature music and comedy presentations, short films and speakers to raise awareness and support and work against hate and discrimination.

SEVENTEEN will be joining an exciting lineup of performances by other AAPI stars including Jhene Aiko, Black Eyed Peas, Saweetie, and more. Hosting the special will be Korean-American actor Ken Jeong and host / guests include Alan Kim, Daniel Dae Kim, Henry Golding, Jeremy Lin, Michelle Kwan, Steven Yeun, and more. SEVENTEEN’s performance and full event will take place May 21 at 5:00 PT / 8:00 ET on MTV and Facebook.
Also, happy reminder that this weekend will be the 2021 Billboard Music Awards. This occasion attracted a lot of attention as it nominated several k-pop groups. As has happened lately, BTS dominated the categories, however for the first time their competitors will be their compatriots BLACKPINK and SEVENTEEN. South Korean bands aspire to take the Top Social Artist, a category in which they need the support of their fandom.
